Sian & Elwyn

The day finally arrived this year for these two to see their plans come together. I remember meeting them both way back in 2019 and feeling extremely nervous and excited. I hadn't captured many weddings at this point but was so excited with all the details of what they had in store. We got the pre-wedding shoot done at the same location as where the wedding would take place right on the beautiful Welsh coast overlooking their home Borth.

However, like many others the day had to be postponed so we all waited. When the day came it was so worth it! Getting ready in her parents home surrounded by her family and friends Sian had been able to keep her dress a secret for two years, when I first saw it I knew I couldn't wait to see it all together and dancing in the sunshine!

The venue was kindly lent by a local farmer and they had everything planned parking, taxi rank, posh loos, games, fires pits overlooking the sea ready for sunset and a the huge Tipi. The wonderful caterers were preparing a delicious BBQ platter of food for the tables. The flowers by a wonderful local florist Alex of Number 21 flowers had created a beautiful flower arch for them to have the wedding ceremony next two, the blessing was to be conducted by Sians brother and each had written their own vows.

The only thing you can never account for was the Welsh weather just as we had left to reach the venue it started to rain we paused for a minute or two and then the sun came back out and stayed for the rest of the day!

There was drinking, dancing and a lot of laughs all day! It felt like everyone after an incredible tough couple of years could finally just enjoy spending time together! I had such an amazing time capturing the day along with Tom Howitt the videographer, even borrowing the chaise long for a little couple shoot in tall grass with permission from the farmer!
